There’s a Voice in the Wilderness: An Advent Wreath of Hymns

The music and hymns of Advent are hauntingly beautiful. In these four sessions, we’ll explore the history, theology and scripture so embedded within these lyrics and tunes.

• Nov. 29: “Lo, he comes with Clouds Descending”: Charles Wesley, the Book of Daniel, and the Little Apocalypse
• Dec. 6: “Comfort, Comfort ye my people”: God Singing Through the Prophets
• Dec. 13: “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel”: Latin Hymns from 500-900 that We’re Still Singing 
• Dec. 20: “Most Highly Favored Lady”: Hymns of Angels and the Annunciation

This four-week course, taught by the Rev. Becky Hartman, will be offered via Zoom on Wednesdays, 12-1pm EST, beginning November 29 and ending December 20
